This is a magazine issued by IFMSL in 2017. The aim of publishing this magazine is actively initiating and participating in the improvement and further development of the profession of Facilities Management. 7 articles are representing different sides of facilities management. It discusses the facilities managers’ role in reducing CO2 emission at the beginning. Sustainable measures that can be taken to reduce the greenhouse gas emission is widely discussed highlighting the importance of those due to the positive impact on the companies. Next, it is discussed enhancing the quality of living conditions by facilities management. Facilities management is not just to maintain buildings; it tries to provide a better living place for the occupants. In addition to that, energy management is also discussed by addressing the current approach of energy service companies in the energy industry. Furthermore, this magazine focus on building energy simulation tools as an effective approach for energy management for strengthening facilities management. Gender diversity in facilities management is also discussed mentioning the role of women in top management. Occupational safety, health, and environmental sector are also discussed as key functions in facilities management. Finally, it includes the way how to obtain the membership of IFMSL defining the different categories of the membership.
