However procurement of facility management is the purchase of the process by which an organization provides and maintains non-core activities in a high-quality environment that strongly supports the business's key objectives. After that considering a target price range for the services that the client is willing to pay, as well as looking for quality levels of the service. Finally prepare a realistic schedule for completing the process.

However there are two major options are available in procurement of the facility management process. Those are In-house facility management and out-sourced facility management. As well as those categorization is based on the control of the process of facility management and the ownership of the assets. In-house facility management is conducting activities or operation within an organization instead of relying on another company. In here no any intermediate party will be engaged between the organization and the service providers.  As well as organization has the autonomy to take decision and control the process. When considering about the out-sourced facility management, it mean passing the responsible of facilities manage services to a third party or involve of an external party to the management role of the facilities. However in current situation most of the organizations are choosing out-sourced facility management process.
