Emergency Preparedness and Early Warning System

To build effective emergency management in a built environment, it is necessary to understand the relationship among the stakeholders that are involved. The Government of Sri Lanka established the Disaster Management Center with a vertical and horizontal “structure” within the operating environment where a facility manager has to play a substantial role. The speaker will cover the Government Structure, Emergency Preparedness with greater attention on an emergency action plan, simulation exercise, and emergency preparedness.
